3) The Indian Navy has received the 11th anti-submarine warfare aircraft P-8I from the U.S.-based aerospace company Boeing.
➠The Defence Ministry had first signed a contract for eight P-8I aircraft in 2009. Later, in 2016, it signed a contract for four additional P-8I aircraft.

4) Amid increasing concerns over air pollution stemming from the stubble burning practice in northwest India, a biomass power plant in Punjab's Ferozepur has managed to generate electricity using paddy stubble.
➠The biomass power facility uses 600 tons of paddy stubble per day, which equates to around 2 -2.5 lakh tons of stubble per year.

8) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar unveiled the "Bhoodan Grove" plaque at the Jerusalem Forest, bringing out lesser-known aspects of Indo-Israel relations before the establishment of full-fledged diplomatic ties between the two countries.
9) Delhi government is all set to launch the revamped “Rojgaar Bazaar 2.0" portal for youths who are looking for jobs and small businesses looking for skilled workers in Delhi.
➠ The Delhi government had earlier launched the Rojgaar Bazaar portal last year which was a digital job matching platform for entry-level jobs in India.

11) As a tribute to the freedom fighters of Manipur, the Union government has decided to rename Mount Harriet, an island peak in Andaman and Nicobar islands. It will now be known as Mount Manipur.
➠Mount Harriet, the third-highest island peak in Andaman and Nicobar islands, where Manipur’s Maharaja Kulchandra Singh and 22 other freedom fighters were imprisoned during the Anglo-Manipuri war (1891).
12) Navrang Saini has been given the additional charge as the Chairperson of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI).
➠The post fell vacant after M.S. Sahoo retired after a five-year tenure on September 30.
➠IBBI is a key institution in implementing the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), which came into force in 2016.
13) The Indian Army team was among only three out of 96 participating teams in the Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2021 at Brecon in Wales to win the Gold medal at the conclusion of phase six of the exercises.
➠ The winning team were felicitated by Indian High Commissioner to the UK Gaitri Issar Kumar at India House in London.
